What Do These Numbers Mean?

  • Download Speed (Mbps): How fast your device pulls content from the internet, streaming, browsing, file downloads.

    5–25 Mbps: Browsing, SD/HD streaming.

    50–100 Mbps: 4K streaming, gaming, family usage.

    100+ Mbps: Heavy streaming, large file downloads, smart homes.

  • Upload Speed (Mbps): How fast you can send data, video calls, uploads, livestreams.

    1–5 Mbps: Email, light video calls.

    5–10 Mbps: HD Zoom calls, file uploads.

    10+ Mbps: Remote work, cloud backups, live streaming.

  • Ping / Latency (ms): How quickly your device gets a response from the server. Lower = faster.

    0–30 ms: Excellent for gaming and calls.

    30–60 ms: Good for general use.

    60+ ms: May cause delays or lag.

  • Jitter (ms): Measures consistency of ping. High jitter can cause stutter in video or calls.

    Under 30 ms: Good. Over 50 ms: May cause issues.
